The British were coming.??? YEP, hes that stupid and in a position of authority working FOR our government folks... The constitution and amendments were written AFTER we fought the British and WON. The Patriots fought the British and loyalists in the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783). Then in 1783 leaders who wanted strong states but a weak national government won out the ratification of a new United States Constitution in 1788. The United States Bill of Rights written of 1791 was comprised of the first ten amendments to the Constitution, guaranteeing many natural rights and broad personal liberties to protect the people from the over reach of government. OVER REACHING BY GOVERNMENT LIKE THIS GUY ATTEMPTS TO DO HERE...by trying to enforce an unjust law with lies.
