The Christmas Holiday Season: Don’t be angry or dismayed with the various ways that you are greeted during the Christmas Season. All of them are completely Christian and appropriate for this time of year. It is only our secular world and our over concern about “political correctness” that need make any of these greetings negative. A greeting to another person is a blessing to them and should be given and accepted in love. The greetings Merry Christmas (original meaning Happy Christ Mass), Happy Holidays (original meaning Happy Holy Day) or Seasons Greetings (The Liturgical Season of Christmas) are all Christian Greetings but are meant for all people as it is the Christian’s way of offering a blessing to ALL. It should not be a fight about which holiday we are referring to but that we are offering Gods blessings of His Son to others. If we make this a culture war we are abusing the intent God gave us to love our neighbor and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Instead of getting angry, get loving.
