The Keystone Pipeline is the worst thing to happen to Humanity, yet somehow presumably good for Texas. I cant believe the terrible things in store for our second largest oxygen pump on the planet, the boreal forest. The pipeline is guaranteed due to a 30% national election voter turnout. I dont argue that election integrity and misrepresentation at a federal level is apparent and needs to be fixed before any real vote matters at that level, however, the state level is the most evolving level of politics. Texas had a 30% voter turnout as well. I still participate in state and local elections because I can watch the laws evolve right in front of me from election to election. The keystone pipeline is dangerous grounds for ecological disaster, solely affecting neighboring townspeople, and with the forest destruction it will cause everyone to feel the hurt. Forest fires, wind currents, and natural disasters will all be affected if we allow our second largest oxygen producing ecosystem to be uprooted, literally. Not to mention all the animals that will be displaced and go extinct. With this new congress coming into power, the keystone pipeline is a certainty.
