The Native sport of Lacrosse-- Ive always been keenly interested in this Iroquois (and other NE Indian Nations) sport. Its been sort of a dream if mine to play lacrosse but not living in a region of the US where its popular or common, its never happened. A few weeks ago during my village travels for work, I met a gentleman from New York who is a lacrosse player. Long story short, he met my kids and I on Sunday and showed us a few tricks and gave us each a lacrosse stick. Now, thats all they want to do is play lacrosse. Its so much fun and is a great workout. My kids want to start a lacrosse team for fun in Fairbanks if anyone is interested.
