The Storm Is Over! Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo state have agreed to work together as a big family in order to move the party forward. At a stakeholders meeting with the state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, held at the Government House in Akure, on Tuesday, the leaders said they have faith in the leadership of Governor Mimiko to continue to lead the party to victory in the state and in the southwest. The meeting had in attendance bigwigs of the party in the state. They included; former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Victor Olabimtan, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Hon Kingsley Kuku, Director General of the Nigerian Sports Commission, Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye, Ondo state coordinator of SURE-P and former Chairman of Akure South local government, Adedayo Omolafe, Professor Olu Agbi, Chief Alex Akinnadeju, Hon Ayo Ifayefunmi, Dr Adewunmi Abitoye, Dr Jacob Gbakinro, Publicity Secretary of the dissolved state Exco, Wale Ozogoro, Akintoye Albert, former member of the House of Reps, Agboola Ajayi, Tayo Dairo, Dele Osakuade, and other leaders of the party from the three Senatorial Districts of the state . Addressing the gathering, Governor Mimiko said he is ready to create a powerful and united PDP in the state. He urged members to see his return as a home coming, stressing that one of his goals is to garner support for President Goodluck Jonathans re-election in next year’s general elections. At the meeting fundamental decisions were taken.
