The Swaner EcoCenter is looking for volunteers to help install conifer revetments on East Canyon Creek. This project has been underway for over ten years now. It is a fun project and the long-term benefits to bank stability are beginning to show on East Canyon Creek. The scheduled days for the revetments are: Thursday, Sept. 25 from 12:30-4:30 pm Friday, Sept 26 from 12:30-4:30 pm Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm Equipment is provided, although it is a good idea to bring gloves, water, waders, and a lunch. The greatest need for volunteers is on the Thursday/Friday dates, and they really need somebody willing to tow the tree trailer from their storage facility to the restoration areas.
