The Truth by Jack Amanti Do not be shy. You have one life to live and very few geological seconds in which to live it. Do not waste your time, As you have been gifted this sole opportunity to shine, and, as you must have sensed, by now, it comes with a cosmological limit. Do not bend your mind To accept that which does not suit you. Do not bend your back in a contortion of acceptance of people and things that do not, in all honestly, conform to your truth. But, firstly, you must know your truth. Have you allowed your truth to be defined by the untoward world around you? A world that you can barely comprehend, as we are but insects laboring among the most temporary of hovels and travailing upon the temporariness of concrete vines? Have you told yourself your truth? Can you hear your melody? Are you able to harmonize with its distortions with all of its highs, and all of its lows, and all of its inbetweens? Are you able to hear your truth resounding through the depthless sea of background noise? We may not be thus gifted, and this much may be true. But we must exist, nonethless, in this ever-spinning, always descending, and ever-deepening and deafening whirlpool. Just be yourself; the only truth. Know that there will ever only be one truth, and that it Will ever, only, be you.
