The US National Weather Service Norman Oklahoma is looking for help with a special project they have going on called The mPing Project. Its a free app you download to your smartphone or tablet device. Very easy to use. If weather is going on in your area, all you do is open the app and it locks on to your gps location from your phone. Then, you select what type of weather event is going on. Whether its any type of rain/snow event, hail, wind damage, floods, mudslides, reduced visibility, and even tornado events. Once you select the event, you just select send report and it goes straight to the NWS. So now here is your big chance to help send vital weather information and help make a huge difference.
