The annual Helping Hands project and Food Drive are set to kick off this week on Wednesday!! For as little as a quarter students can buy a helping hand during lunchtime, write their name on it and hang it up on the school walls showing their support for our very own Riverside families in need. The Helping Hands will be sold outside the cafeteria beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4th until Friday, Dec. 13th. The money collected will be used for families in need throughout the course of the school year. Our Food Drive kicks off Wednesday as well. Please donate items specific to your childs grade so that we get a variety of supplies. TAKE PART GIVE FROM THE HEART! Kindergarten: Breakfast cereal, oatmeal, canned fruit, breakfast bars 1st Grade: Pasta, sauces, peanut butter, jelly 2nd Grade: Snack food such as popcorn, pudding, crackers, granola bars 3rd Grade: Soups and canned vegetables 4rd Grade: Canned meats and beans, stews, chili, tuna, etc. 5th Grade: Personal care items such as toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, tissues 6th Grade: Foil, plastic wrap, baggies, dish soap, hand soap, napkins, paper towels ANY DONATION BIG OR SMALL IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANK YOU!! There are still shifts that need help covering the lunchtime sales of our Helping Hands. If you can help out with any of the following shifts please contact Tanya Meyer tanyanruss@yahoo #914-1676 Friday, Dec. 6th, Monday, Dec. 9th, Tuesday, Dec. 10 and Friday, Dec. 13th. The shifts are from noon-1:30 so if you can help out with any or all of the shift that would be wonderful!!
