The day thanksgiving in America used to really bug me...First was school, and the paper pilgrim hats, and Indian feathers, sitting around the lunch room eating dried turkey, and string beans...Next was the idea how can we celebrate the first dinner of the first year, a people who came to find new beginnings, and freedom with a peoplealready here, who helped them survive, who in turn, turned around showed their appreciation by stealing their land putting them on reservations... then a few years later enslave another people to take care of them, clear land raised the crops, nurse their babies...then find another people used them to build their railroads....yet invite others to join their country the home of the free...but once here, call them terrorist....and never ever acknowledge that this is a corporation, that was given permission to become established by the Moors....hum mm...However as I look at my Suns, and goddess daughters, some from other Mothers, my grandchildren, universal grandchildren, the schools I visit here in Detroit ,everyday, and the eyes of little ones wanting a better way, and the friends I had I have old and new in this struggle, whose skin, and faces look like, mine, and those who do not look like me at all, those who are not in The Social Forum but yet are fighting the same struggle KosenRufu freedom, equality for all....and I am Thankful for the fact that we all survived, and will raise hope for the new ones, that they will only know Peace.....Happy Thanksgiving Yall!
