The idea of this boils down to. Save seeds or DNA from every known species, then deconstruct the planet and rebuild a much larger shell the size of Saturn and live on the inside (dont worry there are windows). Fun or not, theres a pretty insidious implication here. That life is a quantity of species, rather than a quantity, extent, and quality of interconnections. Life is not just interconnected, it is interconnectedness. If the Earths biosphere is nine million species, than a human is a bucket of water and a bag of calcium and some vitamin powder. Life = interconnectedness. You could even say life = an interconnected whole, and that the species dont matter as much as the whole. And that the relationship between two species is a life form as much as the species are. Part of the malaise of societal dualism is focusing on discreteness of elements rather than cohesiveness.
