The late Steve Jobs of Apple and Pixar Animation Studios gave a speech on 12 June 2005 to students at Stanford University. In his speech he shared his biography anchoring his success on that he was doing what he loved so the young people should find what they love most. He shares that his biological mother gave him away for adoption because she was still at college but she had terms to get him for adoption. The parents to adopt him must have graduated from college as a way to make sure her son (Steve) would also get to college. He had been promised to a laywer who then refused at last minute because they now needed a baby girl. His parents almost lost him as they had not graduated from college but then reassured her mother that he graduates also from college. Steve then dropped out college at Reed College because he saw no value in the whole curriculum except to see life time parents savings depleted. He did not cease going to college totally but he slipped into lectures of his interest and squatted with friends as he ceased to be an official student. In that period he got skills that saw him part of people who built the Macintosh computer. At 20 he started Apple in his garage which grew to be a big company in which he was later fired though he was the pioneer. He then started two companies called NeXT and Pixar which grew to takeover Apple again. His pillars of success as he purports, live today as if its the last day and stay hungry and stay foolish In closing he said, dont waste your time living someone elses life. FIND SOMETHING YOU LOVE AND PURSUE IT!!!
