The museum is going global! With the launch of our Distance Learning program we can now provide educational programming to classrooms around the world. Using state-of-the-art videoconferencing technology, museum educators are able to bring artifacts, archives and stories to students who would likely never see them otherwise. After a test run with the local high school in Prince George last week, the education team traveled over 1,000 miles away (virtually, that is) to Jennings, Louisiana. There they helped students discover the world by following the journey of SGT Dorothy Wise as she served in WWII (SGT Wise’s story was featured here on Facebook last month). This evening, the USAWM is broadcasting to Melbourne, Australia to discuss WWI with Grammar School students!
