The parents of Reeva Steenkamp, who was killed by her boyfriend - TopicsExpress

The parents of Reeva Steenkamp, who was killed by her boyfriend Oscar Pistorius, say they will pay back money they received from the South African athlete after their daughters death in February last year. They will also not pursue any civil claim against him. Barry and June Steenkamps lawyer said they had asked Mr Pistorius for financial support because they were broke, and had accepted about ten thousand dollars in confidential monthly payments. (But the parents said they had rejected a lump sum of about thirty-four-thousand dollars.) Mr Pistorius is back in court for a third day of arguments over whether he should go to jail for killing his girlfriend.
