The story was told of a high school principal who referred to a thirty-gight year veteran teacher as a first-year teacher thirty-eight times ower! Each year that teacher was making the same mistakes she made during her first year, mistakes that should have been corrected long ago. A person who does not try to improve in his or her work becomes complacent and mediocre. The same can happen in our spiritual lives. Moses tried to shake the nation of Israel from its complacency by pointing out the deadly consequences of past disobedience. You can almost hear him pleading with the people to open their eyes and learn from their sordid history. How about you? Are you wiser in the way of God today for having seen Him at work in the past? Sometimes this week, share with someone a history lesson from your life that is making a difference in your walk with God today. TO OVERLOOK ONES OWN FAULTS IS TO MISS A VALUABLE FREE EDUCATION. Have a great week.
