The things that break Wudoo are: 1. Any discharge from the front or back passages (urine,stools,wind,etc.,)except for wind emitted from a womans front passage -that does not break Wudoo. 2. Emission of urine or stools from anywhere other than the urethra or anus. 3. Losing ones mind,which may mean losing it altogether by losing ones mental faculties,which is insanity,or by losing it temporarily for a certain length of time for some reason such as sleep,unconscious,intoxication,etc. 4. Touching ones penis,because of the hadeeth of Basrah bint Safwaan,who heard the Messenger of ALLAH (SalAllahu Alayhi WaSalam ) say : Whoever touches his penis,let him do Wudoo. [Narrated by Abu Dawood,al-Tahaarah,154 al- Albaani said in Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood,no. 166, it is Saheeh ] 5. Eating camel meat ,because of the hadeeth of Jaabir ibn Samurah ,who said that a man asked the Prophet (SalAllahu Alayhi WaSalam),Should we do Wudoo after eating camel meat? He said Yes . [Narrated by Muslim,al-Hayd,539). It should be noted that touching a womans body does not break ones Wudoo,whether that is done with feelings of desire or otherwise,unless anything is emitted as a result of that touching . See al-Sharh al-Mumti by Ibn Samurah Uthaymeen,vol. 1, p. 219 -250 Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daaimah,vol. 5, p. 264 Question : What if you are busy in your Salaat and discharge escapes from the front,does it still break your Wudoo ? Do you have to stop your Salaat,perform Wudoo and start your Salaat again? What if you get discharge frequently,what is the remedy and how to solve this problem? Answer : If a woman experiences this wetness/discharge constantly,then she should do Wudoo for every prayer after the time for the prayer begins,and it will not matter if this wetness if discharged after that,even if that happens whilst she is praying BUT if its not continuous and it happens during prayers then one has to get off and renew Wudoo. Shaykh ibn Baaz (May ALLAH have Mercy on him) said : If the wetness described happens continually,most of the time,then every woman who experiences that must do Wudoo for every prayer when the time begins. This is similar to the case of a woman who suffers from Istihaadah (ongoing non-menstrual vaginal bleeding )or one who suffers from urinary incontinence. But if this wetness only happens sometimes,and is not ongoing,then it comes under the same rulings as urine-when it happens it invalidates purity,even during the prayer. [Majmoo Fatwaa Ibn Baaz, 10/130] Question : I have a continual discharge - how can I pray ? Praise be to ALLAH! If this discharge comes and goes,and usually stops during the times of prayer,then you can delay the prayer until the time when this discharge ceases,so long as there is no fear that the time for the prayer may come to an end ,then do Wudoo,apply a pad of cotton,and pray.
