Marketers give me shit all the time about my language in my videos and other posts. If you are uncomfortable in that language, thats fine. Be yourself when you do YOUR marketing. Just know that if you are the type of person who cusses like a sailor in real life, but you are a fake ass professional in your videos, I see right through your bullshit. You come off as a liar, and who wants to do business with that? So, when people tell me to act like a professional and Ill do better, I hope they know that Im doing fine. The people who work with me dont show up under false pre-tenses. I can be myself, be comfortable when Im interacting, and I think people can respect that. At the end of the day, I can respect MYSELF for that. So go slap a nice, professional suit on yourself, throw on your fake ass smile, whiten your teeth, gel your hair, shine your shoes, and re-affirm to yourself over and over again that people like you, you are successful already (even if youre not) and be the person everyone wants you to be since thats the person you have projected and created in your own mind and your own world. Ill be over here in my raggedy ass brown t-shirt, wind suit pants, flip flops, and unshaven. Betcha Im happier. Gold nugget of the day: Be authentic. Be true to the person you REALLY are. Dont conform to other peoples standards or you are doing them AND yourself a disservice. Once you tell a lie, you have to keep telling them in order to keep up the original one.
