Therapy Dog Stolen!!! East Las Vegas, NV Owner writes: That therapy dog you stole a week ago belongs to a special needs child. You know this and where the dog belongs for you have been removing our signs. The child you stole from is 11 (mentally eight) , her parents were taken away when she was 3, been in 7 foster homes before I adopted her. She has suffered more in her first 5 years of life than most people do in a lifetime. She has been abused, neglected and mistreated. She has lost everything she held near and dear. She was sullen and shy, afraid of everyone. The dog brought her out of that and she became bright and shiny, friendly, loving, caring and giving. In that one callous and cold hearted moment that you decided to take her dog ,you have destroyed the last 4 years of therapy. You not only took a dog, you took a childs salvation. You took her heart and her soul. You took the twinkle out of her eye, the bounce in her step, her beautiful smile, her joy and her zest for living. She wrote his name on the driveway so he will know his home. She sits on the steps with their favorite ball every night. She cuddles with their favorite stuff toy and cries herself to sleep. YOU can give it back, no recriminations, no hostile words, no physical harm......just bring her dog home. Nothing will be said or done but a big THANK YOU. If you are too cowardly to do that than have a friend bring him home or turn him into Lied Animal Shelter or Henderson Animal Shelter. P.S. I have your description and the vehicle you were in.
