There has been a considerate measure of gossip, rumours and opinions circulating the internet in regards to the future of Venom at the Agincourt. I would like to address these matters officially. Venom will be operating weekly at the Agincourt until the 24th August, after this the future is unknown and talks between The Agincourt and Venom are still in discussion. This decision was made without my consent, and was brought forward to public knowledge in the most unprofessional manner. It is a shock to all of us here at the Venom family, and we are deeply saddened by this news. We aren’t sure of the future of the club from this point, but we will advise you as we find out more information. With Venom operating weekly at The Agincourt we have brought our source of branding as an Alternative / Metal environment, which the venue now wants to change due to the new developments surrounding it. With their new deal they will be focusing more on the commercial side of entertainment with of a more mainstream style. As it stands, Venom will be run as normal up until the 24th August, at the Agincourt. Although out of my hands, I deeply apologise to all of our fans, without you and your ongoing support, Venom wouldn’t be the tour de force of metal it is today. I will endeavor to bring back Venom in some shape or form in the near future. The team really want to see all of you who have helped sustain and grow Venom into the biggest, best metal club in Sydney; we hope you can get to as many of these final dates as possible. Our final shows are filled with some of the best lineups we’ve seen; the bands and club would love to see the venue packed in show of what Venom has become. Thank you for your support
