There is a chronically homeless man sleeping in a vestibule on Wall Street tonight. The warming center is not yet open, he wont go to the hospital (he is mentally ill and is unwilling to be put back into the cycle of the system). Ive given him hot cider, a blanket (yes Jennifer Fuentes one of those) and have called KPD. Id invite this guy into the store to stay warm but Im familiar with his ability to go from mildly disturbed to violently bat shit crazy in a blink of an eye...and I promised Jay that I wouldnt. Any idea on where else he can go? He is frail and cannot walk far. Snow is coming in a few hours. So much I want to say but really, nothing left to say. Suggestions welcomed.
