There is an emergency situation, due to recent flood, in the northern areas of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, especially Main Kalam Bazar and nearby surrounding areas., due to which, the property of general public, worth billions, is at stack. The mentioned areas have already been suffered from recent fatal flood in 2010 and are again in a dangerous situation as water level is high and a high level flood is being reported specifically in Upper Swat and Kalam. At Kalam the main Kalam Bazar road has already been diminished by the high level flood last night (12/06/2013). We humbly request the Govt. to direct the concerned department and authorities to take action on emergency basis to control the situation and help the public in prevention of their valuable properties and lives from any damage. In order to control and slow down the flow of river some back filling and flood obstacles are needed on emergency basis or any other solution to direct the water flow to its original position away from the public property. In this regard strong support from Pak Army and Flood Relief Cell is required as they have all the required heavy machinery and skilled resources implemented at Swat and can handle the situation better.
