There is no need for a bunch of disparate militias to stockpile guns and ammunition or to train for Tyranny Day. What American soldier is going to follow those orders? What possible reason would the entire U.S. government from desk clerk to 5-star Army General have to blow it all up and instill an authoritarian regime? Sure, power is alluring, and clearly our politicians are willing to do a great deal to keep their hands on power as long as possible, but there are some “scenarios” that just aren’t worth considering, and clearly the “American President Loses Their Shit and Turns Into an Overnight Dictator” should be classified as such.
