There was good coverage of the race in this weeks Munster Express The article reads We were blessed with perfect weather for the 2nd Liz (Eilís) Hayes Memorial Fun Run in Ballyduff Lower last Friday, 102 runners and 57 walkers turned up in force to take part in this race, run in memory of Liz Hayes, an active and well liked member of both the Ballyduff and local athletics communities. There were also many local people from the Ballyduff/Kilmeaden area who either helped with the organization of the race or came along as spectators, contributing to a great atmosphere around the village and along the tough, but scenic route along country lanes out to the Knockaderry reservoir and back to the finish line outside the parish church. Refreshments were served afterwards in the Community Hall where the prizes were presented by Paula Kelly, HR Manager of Delaware Life who contributed to the overall prize fund and Patricia Latham chairperson of the Ballyduff Community Hall Redevelopment Committee who benefited from the money raised.
