Theres always something to see at Second Chance. This Baltimore - TopicsExpress

Theres always something to see at Second Chance. This Baltimore business teaches young men to demolish a building carefully, and rescue design and architectural elements that can be re-used. It also employs them in its vast warehouse showroom, teaching them to do repairs and sales. Marvelous place to visit, just not so good for my checkbook and already-overcrowded house. Plenty of vintage kitchen appliances too, woodburning stoves, radiators, doors, mantles, windows, doorknobs, shutters, sinks; a year ago I got David and Marcella an old porcelain double kitchen sink for Christmas. I was there yesterday close to closing so didnt have time to take photos of everything that caught my eye, but golly, its amazing. Prices are good--a brass doorknob set is $10. Items are marked down each month till it sells. The charming green Hoosier cabinet (wonderful patina) was $150.
