Theres an epidemic of burglaries on our neighborhood cars lately. Today, it was mine. It sucks that the man who owns a business right next to my car is either too afraid or disconnected from the outside world to take notice (see video). Mine is the 5th car this year to be targeted. My priceless stethoscope that I received when I graduated nursing school was stolen as well as my hospital badge and anesthesia books. Thats all I cared about. Some things in life are priceless. The icing on the cake was calling #LAPD and them telling me the jurisdiction of my area has changed and they cant send a car out at all tonight. Come in tomorrow to make a report. To this, I said, NO, youre sending a car out. This is the second time Ive called LAPD to come out to which they never responded, the first time was when a kid was bleeding in the back of his truck and seemed to be dying (no one ever came). They seem to have so much time on their hands when theyre hanging out at yogurt land texting. WTF. I never get upset like this but this is obviously the same person whos established their MO here. Whoever this is cant stand to see people living in peace. At least we still have our lives and our health.
