On 2010, the singer of the Tamperean band called Yö, Olli Lindholm, released an album called Maailma on kaunis (The World Is Beautiful) on which he interprets Vexi Salmis texts. While making that album, Lindholm decided that he wanted to get to know an other Tamperean musician called Jonne Aaron as well. - There was something about Jonne that fascinated me. I contacted him and went to visit him. Jonne played Olli a song that he had made, but the lyrics of it didnt quite impress the experienced musician. Olli suggested that Vexi Salmi could write new lyrics to it. Jonne immediately became excited about it. After that the younger musician wanted to play his guest another song he had made. - After beating around the bush for long, Jonne finally managed to say what he had in mind. He was clearly afraid of me, Olli laughs. Jonne told that the song was made for Katri Helena and a Tamperean singer called Capri had sung the demo. - Then Jos menet pois started playing. After hearing it, I immediately asked for a time-out and decided that I had to give Suvi a call. Suvi Teräsniska lived in Tampere too back then, but she was still sleeping when the guys met in the morning. Sleepy Suvi answered the call that came from an unknown number, even though she doesnt usually do so. - My head stopped working for a while when I heard that it was Jonne Aaron who was calling. I thought that someone was pulling a prank on me, the singer reminisces. When Jonne started telling her why he was calling and told her that he had gotten her number from Olli, Suvi realized that it was not a joke. Jonne told that he had written Katri Helena a song that he could show to Suvi. The end is history. - Jos menet pois is one of the songs of mine that I have very good feelings about. I succeeded with it many times in the studio as well and I got to pat myself on the shoulder, for it sounded good, Suvi tells.
