This just in... Researchers discover conclusive proof that the kindest most decent people live in a small place called Batford in Hertfordshire... HAPPY DAY... NELLY IS BACK! Found her this morning but not before searching every garden in the four streets around us, delivering 140 flyers and pulling up the floor boards at 11 oclock last night in both the dining and living rooms because Lucy was convinced she could hear a cat... There was however no cat under the floorboards, so exhausted, we went to bed, me feeling like a kitten murderer and Lucy convinced she was going insane. I awoke this morning to find Lucy talking to a sideboard !£&@!? I thought maybe shed been right?... But no, turned out Nelly had spent 24 hours shut at the back of Maxs very full school uniform drawer. Bless er. :) The upside of this horrible experience, apart from having Nelly back of course, is the discovery that we are literally surrounded by the most kind and decent people. From the ones behind every door I knocked on (and trust me, I knocked on a few) who kindly invited me into their homes, gardens, out-houses, greenhouses and sheds; to the people we met in the street, to the pubs, shops and businesses who put up our wanted posters. A massive thank you to you all. Well done Batford, you came up trumps. So what else can I say? I love Batford. Have a great weekend kids :)
