This last lot of 24 hours has thankfully been normal! We had another amazing day of riding though, what a great group of children and we had an extra one Frankie who turned up a day early but that didnt matter so I used all my 4 horses and 4 ponies so they could all ride together and for as long as they liked, unfortunately there were some moans and groans about sore legs after 3/4 hour!!!!! I suggested they should ride for at least an hour so they did and finished trotting over canter poles and a little jump. Positions today were amazingly good a stand out position was Bella as she is riding with a perfect position and also Emily U. who has really worked on keeping her legs back and today they must have been good because I didnt even notice them (now thats saying something Emily U. well done). Tahlia cantered for her first time in the big arena on Sammy and every time she lost both stirrups but her position is so strong that it didnt matter and she half halted Sammy back to trot then walk easy-peesy. She then rode a selection of ponies bareback one was Cookie (a horse) who she has never ridden before - trotting around bareback without a care, BRILLIANT! Neve, well done Neve for riding Billie for her first time ever, there was a little steering issue with a lack of right rein but as the lesson progressed the straightness increased and she had a go at the canter poles and jump, EXCELLENT. She rode Cookie bareback this afternoon also trotting around with ease. Bella rode Cookie beautifully, she had a go at cantering in the big arena but it was a little scrappy and Cookie knew she wasnt ready just yet so didnt offer canter bless her she is such an AMAZING horse! Bella bridled Billy for a marathon bareback riding session this afternoon though and also had trouble steering with that right rein but with determination put Billie in her place! Emily W. rode Angelina very well her legs need to be back more which is an on going project of mine that will be a success but Emily W. did everything I asked with out any problem and had a go at cantering Angelina in the big arena now then we all know what happens if we let the Jack out of the box dont we? On Emilys 3rd canter yup she let her out of the box and it took a very strong Bushmans position to contain the electric pony! In a true Emily way she just got on with it, no problem. Kate has a way with Musket that is beautiful to watch, of course he still tries it on but she is so incredibly patient with him that he says, OK then Ill do what you say. She did a FANTASTIC job of steering him over the trotting poles and then the canter poles over the small jump. This afternoon she rode him around bareback and trotted making her toes turn in so her inner thigh was working correctly. Noah rode Mally this morning with extra long reins but steered beautifully she was lacking a little activity due to Noahs sore legs but they still did everything I asked and Noah even said he would have a go at cantering so confidence was up but Im glad he changed his mind as Mally needs a lot of holding together in canter. Noah trotted Sammy around and around and around bareback BRILLIANTLY well done Noah! Emily U. like I said earlier had a great position today and rode Dillan actively over the trotting poles and the canter poles with a slightly weak 2-point position over the jump but what a great improvement, well done Emily! Her sitting trot was good too and it is very hard on Dillan the bouncy one! Emily also trotted Cookie around bareback and worked on those forward legs, great job Emily today! Frankie rode Pepper with a GREAT position and trotted around the big arena with long reins, Pepper much prefers long reins he hates tight reins. They performed beautifully over the trotting poles and then this afternoon she rode both Pepper and Angelina bareback, great job! Best rider time............................................................... who will it be ......................................................... this is too hard .......................... .................................... there are a couple of you that really tested yourselves today and I am really happy with all of you BUT the one that I have to choose is .................................................................. ................................................................................
