This may be long so bare with me. These recent incidences strengthen my stance against all of these degrading and misleading reality shows, court shows, divorce shows, DNA is-he-my-baby-daddy shows, etc. Most of these white men and women hired by our communities to protect and serve us cant even relate to us. They grow up with almost no interaction with us and only hear about what animals we are, then see us on TV being portrayed in only the most negative light, THEN get a job where they are responding to 911 calls and crime scenes. Im sure thats not where u get to experience the best of black people. So we have people patrolling our neighborhoods that already believe we are everything they grew up hearing about us and were basically confirming it by how they see us acting on TV without us hardly ever showing them how great we really are. THEN they get a gun and the full backing of every law enforcement agency around (they proved that last night). I say all of this to say that they dont believe they are killing young kids with futures and families, to them its either that caricature of a person they seen on Maury or the public nuisance they were always told about..... So while those shows seem to be so entertaining to a lot of us, I see them as damaging to our image to everyone. Still no excuse to shoot at our kids for target practice.
