This seems backwards to me. About a month ago I received a thick envelope with several documents saying I was selected for jury duty. It even had a parking permit. This weekend I called the prescribed number and learned that there werent any cases and I will not be called for at least two years. Why not wait until you have a case and then send however many hundred letters out? I have an idea that people postponed holiday plans when they thought they might serve. Besides, who knows how much it cost.
