This weekend, the Houston community will have the chance to learn more about STEM opportunities at the Consumer Energy Alliance’s 4th annual Energy Day Festival, set to take place Saturday, Oct. 18. Energy Day will feature nearly 70 engaging demonstrations and exhibits that will inform students and families of ongoing innovations in the industry and current conservation efforts, in addition to the many high-paying careers and opportunities in the energy field. Harmony Public Schools, a high-performing K-12 public charter school system in Texas that focuses heavily on STEM, will be participating in the family-friendly event through a number of interactive displays. Specifically, students from Harmony Science Academy-Houston High School will be conducting robotics and science demonstrations, offering dynamic, engaging visuals for your photographer or videographer. Additionally, the Harmony School of Advancement will host a booth for its Green Club featuring tips on everyday green living, and the I-SWEEEP (International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment) Department will have an exhibit with information on project submission guidelines and deadlines.
