Through the power of the internet I bring you... A tale of Heidi. I was contacted today by Mrs. Gilbert of Springhill who told me a story, that needed telling. 4 years ago Mrs. Gilbert was driving to work in the early hours of the morning (430am). As she approached the 32KM marker she saw a light, not waving, more like flashing. So she slowed down. As she got closer to Heidis cross she thought she saw someone by the woods. She stopped and got out. She yelled down Is anyone there?? but got no reply. She grabbed a flashlight from her truck and went back to the edge - scanning the woods with the light, yelling again Hello?? Is someone there?. Once she was certain no one was there she went back to her truck. As she pulled around the corner between KM 32 and 33 there was a MASSIVE moose standing in the middle of the road. She said it was the biggest moose shed ever seen. She also said that she is 100% certain that the light and shadow she saw was Heidi warning her. When she saw the light she had been travelling at about 130 km/hour. If she hadnt stopped she would have hit the moose. She is convinced that Heidi saved her life that day. And she asked me to pass along the message to all of those who knew and loved her, especially her Fam!! Heidi, working her magic... Probably just as worried about the moose as she was about the woman! ;)
