Thursday, June 26, is the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, which aims for the total eradication of torture. This day of support is particularly pertinent this year as the United States will be reviewed in November on how it is implementing the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (typically called the Convention Against Torture or CAT).
