To all Plymouth Canton teachers: please do not allow the administration to abuse you by violating your contract. I have heard people say that they feel sorry for the presenters. But you can apologize to him/her and say that you are not leaving due to anything in their control. Ive heard people say that maybe admin will overlook a future transgression if they do stay. You better believe that if you violated the contract or screwed up at school there is not ONE admin who would choose to ignore it. Finally, I have heard people say that they will stay because they are rule followers. Well so am I. The rule is called our contract. Please dont act this is a small situation. It is a slippery slope. If you allow admin to step on your contract in this small way, whats to stop them from making bigger violations. lets not forget when PCCS teachers gave back money in the mid 90s and THE VERY NEXT day the district not only found money but refused to give the teachers their money back. PLEASE flex the little union muscle that you have. The smallest battles sometimes yield the biggest gains. Please share this status.
