To my South Florida friends & fans of the Dolphins, I share your pain. Looks like another playoffless year. Here in the northern climes, I am liking the 1st place Detroit Lions. But as an old sage once said “it ain’t over until it’s over”. I am still climatically challenged. Today got up to a “high” of 45 (which is around 7 for my Celsius friends). Why anyone would say 45 is a high (other than in baccarat) is beyond me! Fires in fireplaces are really nice. I have acquired cold weather clothing (wearing gloves is a pain in the arse) except for footwear. If any person out there would like to recommend something, I would appreciate your thoughts. I am finding Converse All Stars just do not cut it up here in the north at this time of year. If Santa is plugged into the NSA & reads this, I wear a size 9. It is fun to live near a village (Milford has about 5,400 people compared to Plantation’s over 90,000). People are more interactive, not reactive. The speed limit on all streets in the village is 25 mph. Yet it just big enough the have just about everything you need or want. And at night out here it is dark. No street lights, no stores, no traffic (the home sits far from the road). It is peaceful. But everyone tells me “winter is coming”. OK, bring it on; should be interesting.
