Today I leave on another trek across the state. Lets hope that the rain holds out until I get to the Triangle. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at Duke for two biopsies. The doctor found 2 suspicious places on my visit last week and wants them removed asap. Honestly, I think hes more concerned than I am, but that is his job, right? After the road that I have traveled these past 20 yrs, very little frightens me any more. I am just ready to go and get it over with. I expect them to be pre-cancerous but benign just like last time this happened, 10 years ago. I have kept this to myself for the past 2 weeks and really had no plans of sharing this with anyone but today I woke up feeling a little afraid and alone, so I thought that I would share.
