Today Prep and Year 1 students joined in conneXions at 11.30am to participate in National Simultaneous Storytime, an annual event that brings together thousands of primary school-aged children across Australia to read the same book at the same time and promote the joy in shared reading. Too Many Elephants in This House by Ursula Dubosarsky and Andrew Joyner was selected for this year’s Storytime. Year 2 OLoughlin and Year 2 Smith students led this event by sharing their learning into this text through small group investigations, such as; creating digital movie trailers, becoming elephant research experts, writing a continuation of the story and Visual arts.
