A: It is a myth that showering right after tanning will wash away your tan! However, the longer you leave your tanning lotion on, the longer the effects will last. Some lotions contain DHA (a natural self-tanner) which can continue to tan you for up to 8 hours even after leaving the salon! Other lotions contain high end anti-aging and skin firming ingredients which have more powerful effects the longer you leave them on! So dont worry! Its okay to shower right after tanning, you wont lose your tan! But the longer you wait, the better.
