UK National Drum Fair Europe’s Biggest and Best Custom & Vintage Drum Show The National Drum Fair (NDF) is currently an annual event organised, promoted and managed by drummers for drummers to provide an opportunity for the display, promotion, trading of drums, associated products/items and drumming skills to be available to the drummers and potential drummers of the UK and beyond. It is a non-profit organisation and seeks to be self-funding. The 12th UK National Drum Fair will take place in the last weekend of September on 27th and 28th 2014, at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre, Alcester Road South, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 6ER. We have a very special programme of events, which includes 60+ stalls of custom and vintage drums, cymbals and accessories with displays from our own Vintage Vault. This year’s show is dedicated to Ringo Starr. It is 50 years since the Beatles played on the Ed Sillivan show and breaking America. Ringo did more for Ludwig Drum Company than people realised. There will be a special exhibit on the vintage vault to celebrate this occasion. A great line up of clinics for this year and again have been supported by Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Dept. Drummerbuzz will be sponsoring the free workshop in the Annex, with Malcolm Garrett and Pete Cater. Drummerbuzz have been responsible for running worshops, clinics and drum sheds and we are partnering up with them to provide these throughout the year. If you are interested in coming along to one of the clinics/workshops, then Drummerbuzz will be there to take your details and keep you informed of the forthcoming events. Again these are going to be very special, as people will get a chance to play along side great drummers on a practice pad. You just need to bring your own sticks!
