UP Police filing false affidavit about Class IV employees ! The Uttar Pradesh Police is trying to save itself by filing a false affidavit through round-about method. In a PIL filed by Police Department Class IV Employees Association, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court recently directed the DGP of UP to file an affidavit that these employees are not posted against the prescribed rules. To this the DGP issued an instruction dated 05 April 2014 whereby attachment of these class IV employees to various police officers was cancelled. But immediately thereafter, he issued another instruction dated 09 April which said that only attachment with police officers by name has been cancelled and not with the various offices. While my husband actually returned back the police personnel attached with him, in most cases attachment of class IV employees with police officers by name has been cancelled, attaching them to various offices for namesake and sending them back to houses for work. This being a matter related with transparency in administration, I shall pursue the matter further.
