UPDATE At the Lincoln County Board meeting Tuesday evening, they - TopicsExpress

UPDATE At the Lincoln County Board meeting Tuesday evening, they laid over until the November 2013 meeting a decision on building a grandstand. They also voted against funding an architect to draw up plans for the Expo Center. There are reasons for that decision, and they will discussed at the next meeting of the Fairground Marketing and Users Group meeting which will be held at 6:30 PM, August 5th at the Lincoln County Service Center, 801 N Sales St, Merrill. Now is the time for you to get involved with the Expo Center (Fairground Marketing and User Group) if you are not already. We need volunteers who are willing to devote some time to help us create the Board of Directors for the Expo Center Organization. This step has to be taken before we can file our corporation papers with the State of Wisconsin, ratify our bylaws, and file with the IRS for 501(c)(3) status as a non profit, tax exempt organization. Once we have filed, we can start raising funds and accept donations. We also need to get this done before the county will recognize our organization. We also need to work on our business plan and smooth out some of the wrinkles in it. We need the help of individuals and Lincoln County Business owners. Please share this with all of your friends, and get involved if you want to see the Expo Center become a reality in Lincoln County. Together, we can make this happen without raising taxes! If you would like more information, contact Dale Christiansen at [email protected], or Pete Annis at Dshf113@aol Thank You
