UPDATE: KILLER TYPHOON HAIYAN/YOLANDA HUNGER STALKS FILIPINO CHILDREN ECare had been doing its part in facing the challenge of caring for children at risk particularly in terms of hunger and nutrition. In addition to our feeding program for nutrition in two poor communities in Manila, we have opened 4 centers in Compostela Valley. These communities had gone through their own harrowing experience when Killer Typhoon Bopha/Pablo brought them death and destruction last December 2012. We have just been informed today by our partner, International Teams Canada that we have on the way 3 boxes of highly nutritious dried vegetable soup that would be feeding our children this Christmas and for the next 6 months. We will do our small part in meeting the needs of the children in our care. With your partnership, let us expand our reach.
