***UPDATE ON THE TWO TABBY GIRLS ABONDED BY THEIR FAMILY BECAUSE THEY HAD A NEW BABY*** I have heard so many people say “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle”. Ok… I want to believe it to be true… I do believe things happened for a reason, and there sure was a reason for me being at the rescue the time when the girls started to struggle, miss their family so much that they would not want to eat… I believe that the reason I was there at the time is to help them. With the help of a friend, we have found the girls an incredible foster mom… one who bends over backwards to accommodate them and who does anything and everything so they start eating and snap out of their misery. Sadly, that has not happened just yet. To top it all off, they have a mild version of upper respiratory infection. It will be three weeks now, that the girls are being syringe fed, in addition to being offered yummy things even most spoiled cats don’t get to eat. Marilyn (the one with the white patch on her chest) used to love to snuggle up with her mom, lie on top of her and enjoy being brushed. Now she’s more deflated, depressed, withdrawn. Audrey used to hide under the bed, in the crate or some other place where her only friends were the memories of living happily at home… Although she enjoys being brushed and loves to snack on Temptations, she still does not eat. As per their foster mom “Audrey Cocoa-puff is fairly perky and will eat Temptations treats, but Marilyn Muffin-Stuff started to decline after a brief improvement. She is very shut down and wont even eat the treats anymore. She has some mild symptoms of URI and sometime drools and gags. Both respond to petting and brushing. Both girls are becoming very tired of being syringe fed”. And I am becoming desperate into believing that God really knew what he was doing when he thought it was a good idea to get me involved in helping these two, precious sweethearts, as I feel that if they both now will need feeding tubes, that’s definitively more than I can handle…financially and emotionally. Their foster mom took them to the vet yesterday, and they both got an antibiotic shot and appetite stimulants. This will be a second round of them being on appetite stimulants; the first round did not help much. Like so many times before, I want to ask those of you that are financial able to please help us get these two girls well. We are desperately needing financial support, especially that it seems that they might have to have tubes inserted. If you can find it in your heart to donate even $2.00 towards their medical expenses, I cannot even say how very, very grateful I would be. I am very worried about them. I worry that it’s going to be financially impossible to save them. I know all in all it had cost around $1400 for Woody’s tube, special food and weekly checkups. Mind you, Woody pulled his tube out one time, so he had to have the surgery twice… little bugger I guess in this case it would be close to the same, maybe a little more for the food for both girls. I really hope and pray that we all can come together and help these girls that so desperately miss their humans… Just like I wanted to see Woody happy and healthy, and with your help I have, I want these girls to purr with contentment and their bellies full. If you can donate towards their care, please go to youcaring/share-fundraiser.aspx?fid=297944 or you can do an email transfer to [email protected]. Also, please SHARE, their story far and wide, and perhaps ask your friends to do the same… From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us help the girls.
