USDA-NRCS Outreach Meeting set January 20 USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service(NRCS) is sponsoring a community outreach workshop for agricultural producers, January 20, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Veteran’s Lodge, 211 Williams Drive, Ozark. The workshop is conducted by VFW Post 4448 and Wiregrass RC&D. This is an opportunity for veterans, historically underserved producers, and community members to learn about seasonal high tunnel houses and programs that can help you manage your pastureland, vegetable crops, woodland, and other natural resources. Representatives from USDA-NRCS, Farm Service Agency, Rural Development, Dale County SWCD, Wiregrass RC&D, Tuskegee University, Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Alabama Clean Water Partnership will be on hand to answer questions concerning your land and community and get help in applying for programs that may be available.
