Update 31/12/14 : Rescue place offered by Border Collie Trust GB , however donations are needed to help cover vet costs / passport / rabies vacs / 4 weeks bed and breakfast / transport to England etc.... If anyone can help towards €200 still needed please use the social donate button on this facebook page / the donate button on carrickdogshelter.ie or directly to Border Collie Trust GB . Please specify that your donation is for dog ref 641 - thank you And - recently Monaghan county council received a complaint in regard to the postings for donations to help pound dogs get to rescues in England , apparently the person who made the complaint was under the impression that as these dogs are in Monaghan dog pound at the time that donations are asked for that the monies donated may be going to Monaghan county council . Therefore we would like to make the matter perfectly clear by stating that Monaghan county council DO NOT receive any monies in regard to donations for these pound dogs - any donations received for a particular dog are solely used for the purpose of associated costs to ensure that the dog can be placed eventually in the UK rescue which has offered a placement .
