Update! I know I havent updated in a couple of days as we have been so busy with family. Owens Gma Gerri and Gpa Ron (corys parents) came for a visit to see Owen, so its been a busy weekend :) Owen has been doing well, although still vomiting quite a bit even without getting any food. He is all up to date with all of his immunizations and his RSV shot that he got today. He has been super smiley, becoming much more interactive with his toys and has been a pretty happy boy this weekend. Cory and I got into the GJ class tomorrow morning to learn about the procedure and how to care for a child with a GJ tube. We found out that his feeding tube will require a small machine that we will have to take with us 24/7 as he will be on continuous feeds once he is all hooked up. Please pray we will learn quickly and that a date will be set for early next week so Owen can get this in and start feeding! We are feeling anxious and nervous as they will have to put him under and he will be on breathing support for the procedure.. although it will take about half an hour for everything to be done its still nerve wracking as there is always the thought of something going wrong. We are praying this will be the answer and solution to Owen vomiting and that he will be able to tolerate his feeds so we can get out of the hospital before his second surgery. Keep praying for healing for Owen as he still faces bilious vomits each day.. and pray that Owen will get in for GJ tube ASAP! Well off to bed as we have to be up very early to attend our class.. and there is a test after so my brain needs to be functioning in order to answer questions early in the morning haha.
