Update: Maddie is still the same. The new picture of her lungs still shows junk in the bottom. They have started her on manual chest therapy and a cough assist machine since her cough is weak. Were hoping that that moves the junk up and out. They will not release her until they are sure things are moving really well so that we dont end up here again shortly. She was off the vent for one hour today and did well. When we put her back on the vent her oxygen levels were low for quite some time which is not very good. We are hoping for Saturday or Sunday to be released to go back home. Maddie is still in good spirits and watching movies. I on the other hand am going stir crazy!!! Ive actually started reading a book! A couple of days is one thing, but a week???!!! Ugh!
