Use Your Imagination By adminon Sun, 11 Aug 2013 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 (KJV) How often do you sit and imagine the worst that could happen in life? Do you imagine your spouse leaving, something terrible happening to your family, receiving a negative doctor’s report, or do you picture yourself being let go from the job? This produces fear and anxiety over events that haven’t even happened. God is not imagining the worst for you. His thoughts toward you are of peace. Let your own thoughts and imagination be of peace also. Imagine God turning your life around, imagine yourself on top and winning in life, see yourself prospering financially, see your marriage becoming stronger, your body being made whole, and your children serving the Lord. If your imagination is based upon your past sins and failures, you will continue to imagine the worst. Receive God’s love and forgiveness and stand on His righteousness. Let your imagination come from a heart that is resting in God’s love. There is no fear in His love. Prayer: I know You know the thoughts of my heart and everything I imagine within my heart. Your thoughts towards me are of peace. Forgive me for every fearful imagination that I have sat and dwelled upon. Help me use my imagination for right purpose you gave it to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
