VIOLA, ID - Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on US 95 north of Moscow yesterday afternoon. According to the Idaho State Police, 60-year-old Jeffrey Engler of Viola was eastbound at milepost 351 when he lost control of his 2003 Dodge pickup and crossed over the center line at 3:38 p.m. Englers pickup struck a 2011 Sienna van driven by 46-year-old Deena Wood of Lewiston. Englers vehicle hit Woods who was southbound in the outside lane. Woods vehicle was struck in the front drivers side of the vehicle, ISP says in a press release. Engler was transported to Gritman Medical Center, while Wood was transported to Kootenai Medical Center. Woods passengers - 12-year-old Sarah Wood and 12-year-old Jade Wood - were not injured. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. All lanes of US 95 were closed for approximately two hours. The Latah County Sheriffs Office assisted at the scene.
