Vacancy Announcement Martin Chautari (MC) is an academic NGO working on media, education, politics and governance issues. For a research project on Universal Connectivity in Nepal, MC invites applications for Field researchers from potential Nepali candidates. S/he will lead the field research activities, which will include collecting background information on the research sites and conducting household surveys, interviews and focused group discussions. S/he will also be responsible for analyzing field data and writing reports as required by the research project team. Successful candidates will be required to attend a three-day research training workshop in October 2014. Number of positions: Two Duration: 4 Months with possible extension (Starting from 1 December 2014) Duty stations: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavre and Kaski Salary and benefits: As per the MC rules Eligibility: · Master degree in humanities and social sciences (preferably sociology/anthropology) · Excellent spoken and written English · At least two years of experience in Field research · Excellent computer skills on Microsoft word, excel and SPSS.
